1980-1981 Clarksville and Montgomery County Consolidation Charter
Ross H. Hicks served as the chairperson for a government consolidation commission in 1980. Over the course of 10 months, the commission drafted a proposed charter for a consolidated government in Clarksville and Montgomery County. The proposed charter was rejected by the public in February 1981. This collection includes commission documents, meeting minutes, and personal documents from the desk of Ross H. Hicks.
Assorted Papers, 1948 to 1993
The “Assorted Papers” series, which dates from 1948 to 1993, consists of newspaper clippings, certificates, invitation letters, correspondence, and posthumous tributes relating to Charles Crow’s lengthy career and personal life. Some of these materials are not directly related to Crow’s parole or mayoral career, but rather include personal correspondence with colleagues or membership certifications from various organizations. This series has been arranged chronologically.

This collection, which dates from 1918-1944, consists of correspondence, telegrams, financial statements, bills of sale, and receipts of John T. Cunningham. The bulk of the collection is made up of correspondence and documents Cunningham’s professional and political connections.

The Don Sundquist Autographed Calendar Collection houses four calendars prepared by the United States Congress that were signed by former Tennessee Governor and Congressman Don Sundquist. This collection dates from 1986 to 1994, and contains reminders of specific events during the early years of the United States.
