Biographical / Historical

Rosalind Kurita is a Texas native who purused a career in nursing and politics. She was a county commissioner for Montgomery County before becoming the speaker pro tempore of the Tennessee State Senate in which she represented State Senate District 22. She attempted to join the United State Senate in 2005 for the Democratic Party, but was unsuccessful. She returned to her seat in the Tennessee State Senate in 2019. She has faithfully served Montgomery County and the surrounding areas by representing the citizens and preserving its history. Her father, Thomas M. Culbertson, was a Republican Party leader and served time in the military.

Arrangement

Photographs, slides, and CDs housed together in the Microfilm room in archival folders and boxes, separation sheets placed with documents where needed. Documents were placed in archival folders and boxes, but kept in original order the donor placed them.
