World War, 1914-1918

Evelyn Homer Glenn Hunter was born in Clarksville, Tennessee in 1927. Together with her mother, Mildred Smith Glenn, Evelyn had a strong interest in her family genealogy and local history. The two women collected family papers and paid particular attention to their Bowman and Smith family ancestors in their research, as well as Serepta Jordan Homer. The materials include original family papers, photographs, genealogical research, and other related printed materials.

Voice and piano sheet music for the World War I patriotic song Keep the Home-Fires Burning (Till the Boys Come Home), with lyrics by Lena Guilbert Ford and music by Ivor Novello, published in 1914. There is a handwritten note on the front that reads "Jennie Dunn Apr. 1918."

The Weakley Family Materials collection houses the correspondence and personal memorabilia of the Weakley family. This collection, which dates from 1918 to 1948, consists of letters, a photograph, a funeral record, and a newspaper page.
