This collection includes Howard family letters, deeds, copies of family papers, checks, and a small Civil War-era trunk used by I.P. Howard. Although the bulk of the collection consists of Howard family papers, there are a few items (i.e. schoo report cards and Selective Service paperwork) belonging to Paul Waters.

Processing Information

The Howard Family Papers were originally inventoried by an Archives volunteer. A staff member continued processing the items and labeling the folders while maintaining the same order of arrangement. The trunk and its contents were placed in a bankers box and housed next to the other two boxes in this collection.
