Biographical / Historical
Burt High School was an African American school that had classes for students ranging from the seventh to twelfth grades. It was located in Montgomery County, however because of segregation, African American students from Erin, Tennessee and Guthrie, Kentucky would travel to attend the school. The school's doors were open from 1923 to 1970. The yearbooks contained in this collection display the rich student life that the school offered as well the faculty and staff that made the school possible.
