This collection contains photograph slides documenting the razing of houses in Clarksville for the Urban Renewal Program in the 1950s. The area stretching from College Street to Cunningham Bridge was known as Vinegar Bottom or Black Bottom. The local fire department burned houses in the Bottoms area. Charles Burney, a former employee of the Clarksville Housing Authority, donated this collection to the Archives.
