C.K. Smith & Son promissory notes, 1929 to 1931
Scope and Contents
The “Smith Family Papers” series, which dates from 1861 to 1986, includes personal correspondence, financial and legal paperwork, business correspondence, account books, postcards, and genealogical research notes of the Smith family. Much of the personal correspondence focuses on C.K. and Eva Smith. The business correspondence and other records largely concerns the tobacco business of C.K. Smith, and his involvement with various tobacco warehouses. Also of note are a series of World War I letters belonging to Homer F. Smith, the son of C.K. and Eva Smith.
