Scope and Contents
The “Mayoral Career” series, which dates from 1958 to 1978, consists of materials relating to Charles Crow’s 16-year tenure as mayor of Clarksville. These materials have been divided into folders containing correspondence, newspaper & magazine clippings, interviews, and campaign materials and a scrapbook detailing Crow’s resignation as executive secretary of the Tennessee Pardon and Parole Board and his early electoral campaigns in the Clarksville municipal elections leading up his 16-year career in local politics, lasting from 1962 to 1978. This series has been arranged chronologically.
