Northington House Register Page
Scope and Contents
The Northington House Register Page is a single page from the guest register book of the Northington House. Dated July 30, 1889, the page lists the names and the city of residence for people checking into the hotel. The majority of the entries are people from nearby towns in Kentucky, but it does include an entry that appears to list Florida as a residence. Opened in 1884 by Samuel Northington, the Northington House was a hotel located at 200 Commerce Street in Clarksville, Tennessee. The building burned in September, 1905 but had already ceased operations as a hotel a few months before.
