The Works Progress Administration was a government agency involved in public works programs. The agency was established in 1935 as part of the New Deal, and employed millions of Americans. The program was renamed the Work Projects Administration in 1939.

Content Description

A book prepared by the Tennessee Department of Conservation, Tennessee Division of Geology, which maps Montgomery County into quadrants and lists the property owners in each area. The project was completed jointly by the Tennessee Division of Geology with the Work Projects Administration and documents the name, address, civil district and acreage for each property owner within Montgomery County.
